I caught this moment spontaneously on the top of a temple that overlooks Hampi in India.
There were something like 500 steps, I can’t remember, but these boys’ joy was infectious. I crossed this river many times and in many different boats, even swimming once.
Every time I crossed I entered a new chapter in my adventure. Here I am with one of my most beloved families in a small village close to this temple.
The yogis say when Hanuman jumped from the Himilayas to Sri Lanka to rescue Sita for his beloved Rama, his toe hit the tops of the Himilayas and the rubble landed in Hampi.
“Pleasure is always derived from something outside you, whereas joy arises from within.”
