Shiva, the God of Destruction Came to Visit Me!

When Narayana breathes one breath it is the creation, preservation and destruction of the entire universe. In essence, the entire universe is a balance of these three major guṇas- creation, maintenance, and destruction. Shiva is known as the guṇas of Destruction. Whether  you invite Shiva into your life or not, things are gonna change! When I was in a valley in southern India, I was sitting with a “sadhu-baba,” a … Read More →

“If You Accomplish Something at the Gross and Sacrifice the Subtle, What Have You Accomplished?”

“If you accomplish something at the gross and sacrifice the subtle, what have you accomplished?”–Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Post by Lucy St. John What this means is: The subtler fields of life and consciousness have the most powerful effect in life. Science often proves what the yogis have discovered over centuries of subjective experience. For instance, if you think about nuclear energy, it is one of the smallest elements in nature, and … Read More →

Fate, Discrimination, Compassion and Perception

Do you know the story of Guha?  When Rama and Sita were banished from Ayodya, Guhu told them: “Do not judge the actions of others. Sometimes people are just the blind instruments of fate.” Guhu began to tell them his story. The king’s priest wanted to reform Guha, the hunter king so he sent some bramanas to the forest where they set up a stone image of Shiva. Guhu welcomed … Read More →

Can You Say Fully No?

Screen Shot 2014-03-19 at 9.48.48 PM

One of the techniques in my workshop that always gets an array of responses is the masculine boundary setting energy. It is no secret that we all have difficulty in saying “No” in certain circumstances without anger usually because we’re overwhelmed. And yet, I am still surprised that so many accomplished men and women I meet have difficulty in setting boundaries. If you can’t be comfortable saying no in a … Read More →

Sunshine on Salt Spring Island

I had such a fun time at Stillpoint Yoga Studio on Salt Spring Island. Arriving by sailboat on Friday evening in Ganges Harbour, I didn’t know who would participate in the class. It would be a surprise as I had a lot of last minute students swapping. The studio was only a 5 minute walk from the harbour and had lovely light.   We laughed at ourselves, each other and … Read More →

What Does Holistic Health Have to Do with Yoga?

YOGA IS MORE THAN POSES AND PANTS: HOW DO WE BRING IT INTO OUR DAILY ACTIVITIES? Yoga practitioners may go to classes everyday but when they walk out of the studio, do they rush to their next destination? Or do they feel blissed-out until they get shoulder-checked by a passer-by? Yoga is a means of centering oneself to be balanced on the fulcrum of Being. The yogis say enlightenment is … Read More →

Has Your Time Come?

RESPECT! Protoje, my favorite reggae/dub artist right now, has such an inspiring message. To me, this song: “Our time come” is not just about his time coming as an artist but also his message that the world’s time has come. People like Protoje and his DJ inspire an energy that unites people. His music makes me beg the question, has my time come? When exactly do I stand up and … Read More →

~Miranda, Edmonton AB

“It taught me how simple it is to go back to loving yourself, with many easy techniques that take just 5 seconds to center you in your body. I am still benefiting every day from the simple, practical ways of unfolding into your own grace and assertiveness.”

Me… so far

© Cloe AignerJust like my grandfather who told his stories from India, I love re-telling stories that help us to see and understand ourselves. I'm working on creating peace on the planet by working on both our inner and outer worlds. As Carl Jung put it: "As within, so without". Or as Maharishi said “If you accomplish something at the gross and sacrifice the subtle, what have you accomplished?”
I am a curious student, I enjoy constantly learning. I make mistakes and I think that makes me a better teacher. The insights and tools that I offer are like a roadmap for the grounded spiritual seeker. It is my intention to collaborate with you so that you generate your own questions to find clarity and understanding of your own experiences. Together, we'll keep it real with heart, humility, and laughter. Read More About my Journey...
